Michael Eugene Call

Michael Eugene Call, age 70, was taken home by the angels on Friday, September 16, 2022. He was a true fighter but he lost his long battle with cancer. Michael loved God and his family and friends. He was born on April 8, 1952 in Saltville, VA and then later moved to Lebanon in 1976. He was a proud United States Army Veteran. He had numerous friends that were very dear to him. One of his favorite hobbies was playing golf with the "Seniors" at the Saltville Golf Course. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Evelyn Call; his sister-in-law, Suzy Call; and uncle, Dennis Davidson.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Reba Call of Lebanon, VA; his son, Mikie Call of Lebanon, VA; three brothers, Dean Call and Ann of Saltville, VA, Jeffrey Call and wife Carol of Saltville, VA, and Scotty Call of Chilhowie, VA; nephews, Jason Bordwine and wife Kashia, Ethan and Brendan Bordwine, and Jeffrey Call, Jr. and wife Kara of Denver CO.

The family would like to give a very special thanks to Caris Hospice for their excellent care.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at Henderson Funeral Home with Pastor Donnie Bailey and Pastor Donald Mutter officiating. The burial will follow at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery with military rites rendered by the United States Army Honor Guard and also the V.F.W. #4667. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 1 until 2 p.m. prior to the service.
