Michael "Fin" Edward Delp

Michael "Fin" Edward Delp, age 67, passed away on February 6, 2026, at Johnston Memorial Hospital. He was born on February 27, 1958, in Saltville. Fin was a loving father, grandfather, and brother. His two sons were his pride and joy, and he loved them more than anything. Becoming a grandfather brought him even more happiness. He was known as a good man with a kind and humble heart. Fin would help anyone in need and truly would give the shirt off his back. He worked many years as a pipe fitter in the coal mines. Outside of his career he loved being outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. One of his favorite places to fish was Big Tumbling Creek. He was also like a father to many of his nieces and nephews.  He will be remembered for his kindness, humble heart, his love for the outdoors, and most importantly the love he had for his family. Fin will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elroy and Vivian Delp; his brothers, Elroy, Jr., Dennis, Gerald and Larry Delp; and his sisters, Sue Chestnut and Peggy Fullen.

Left to cherish his memory are his two sons, Eric Delp, and Kevin Delp and wife Ivy; one grandson, Eden Delp; sister, Judy Hampton; and several special nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at Henderson Funeral Home with Pastor Barry Loupe officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 5 until 7 p.m. prior to the service.
