Michael Eugene "Mike" Estep, age 66, of Saltville, Va., went to be with The Lord on June 2, 2022. He was born in Saltville, Virginia on September 16, 1955, to the late James Edward "Saint Ed" Estep and Imogene Garrett Estep. Mike's two daughters and three grandchildren were truly the joy of his life. Mike was an outstanding athlete at R.B. Worthy High School, graduating in 1974. Mike was the biggest and most loyal Virginia Tech fan you could ever meet. The phrase "I'm on my way to see the Hokies play" truly summed up his love of The Hokies. Mike passionately supported the local high school sports teams and was a lifelong avid sports fan. Mike had a heart of gold and loved The Lord with all his might. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his aunts, Margaret Hogston, Kathleen Davidson, and Stella Pennington; and a special cousin, Pidney Davidson. Mike is survived by his two daughters, Mindy Lee Estep, Kimberly Estep Widener and her husband, David; three grandchildren who were the apple of his eye, Aidan Crockett, Millee Widener, and Mia Widener; his brother, Jim Estep; three special cousins, JoAnn Hogston Teague, Rodney Hogston, and Randall Davidson; several friends at The Saltville Golf Course; and more buddies than one could count.
