Michael Joe "Mike" Sessor, age 68, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at Holston Valley Hospital in Kingsport, TN. Mike was born January 1, 1958 to the late Joe and Betty Sessor. He was a 1977 graduate of R. B. Worthy High School where he excelled in golf. Mike served his country proudly as a United States Marine.

Including his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Allen Sessor.

Mike loved playing golf and he still holds the course record at the Saltville Golf Course 59, -11 under, par 70. He loved the comradery of his friends at the Saltville Golf Course. He was an avid Virginia Tech football fan and a Washington Commanders fan. Mike enjoyed gardening and being outdoors. He loved spending time with his family and friends.

Those left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 45 years, Kathy Sessor; two sons, Brian and Justin Sessor; and one sister, Tammy Gates; and many friends. There will be no services at this time.
