Michael Wayne "PeeWee" Roberts, age 62, of Saltville, VA, passed away on July 25, 2022. Born to Jack Lloyd Lewis Roberts, Sr. and Ellen Alvernie Chapman Roberts in Rockville, MD, he later moved to Smyth County Virginia, where he was a longtime resident. He was a talented mechanic and enjoyed his work at Bristol Garage. PeeWee had three cats and one dog, whom he loved dearly. He was a loving and devoted partner to his wife Charlene for 37 years. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Ellen Brown; his niece Kyrstin Roberts; and his brother-in-law Bertram Shapiro. Left to cherish PeeWee's memory is his wife of 37 years, Charlene Shapiro Roberts; his brother, Jack "Bo" Roberts, Jr.; his sister, Patricia Blount, and husband, Jeff; his two sisters-in-law, Karen Stanford, and her husband, Robert, and Kathleen Shapiro; his six nephews, Richard Brown, and his wife, Amy, Eric Parks, Michael Stanford, and his wife, Gina, Zachary Shapiro, and his wife, Colleen, Samuel Shapiro, and his wife, Auburn, Benjamin Shapiro, and his wife Christina; his niece, Celenda Combs, and her husband, Robert; and several great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at the D.R. Henderson Funeral Home.
