Michael Lee Vaught, 66 of Fort Chiswell passed away Thursday, Dec 4, 2025 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born June 1, 1959 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late George and Jane Vaught. Mike enjoyed hunting, fishing and wood crafting. He owned and operated Mike's Home Improvement for many years.

He is survived by his daughter Michelle McFarlane and husband Chad of Rural Retreat; granddaughters Taylor McFarlane and Ryleigh McFarlane of Rural Retreat; grandson Gage McFarlane of Rural Retreat; brothers and sisters-in-law Gary and Lisa Vaught of Rural Retreat, Robert and Melissa Vaught of Wytheville, Scotty and Niki Vaught of Austinville, and Tracy and Gayle Vaught of Wytheville; sisters and brother-in-law Georgia Ward of Fort Chiswell, Debbie and Curt Clemons of Wytheville, and Lisa Vaught of Wytheville; many nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his brothers Thomas Edgar Vaught, Ronald Wayne Vaught, Furman Dale Vaught and Steven Boyd Vaught; and sister Tammy Vaught Haga.

A private memorial will be held at a later date.
