Glade Spring, Va. Come unto me all you who labor and heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28 Mildred V. Lester, age 96, passed away on February 25, 2022. Born April 18, 1925, she was preceded in death by her parents, David and Mattie Orr Lester; brothers, Jim (Peggy) Lester, David "Judd" Lester, Jr., Bill (Polly) Lester, Ted (Doris) Lester; sisters, Ruth (Bob) Wright, Vivian Lester, Irene (Earl) Ryburn; and Mary (Rad) Gillenwater. Mildred attended secretarial school and lived and worked in New Orleans for 50 years. She is survived by her niece and caregiver, Lynn Teaters, caregiver, Louise Teaters; several nieces, great nieces, nephews, and great nephews. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 28, 2022 at Old Glade Presbyterian cemetery in Glade Spring, Va. with Pastor Mark Baumgardner officiating.
