Nada Alberta Hogston was chosen by God to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven on January 4th, 2025. Nada loved family. She was a dedicated and loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She was also a devoted follower of Christ, and she loved attending church. Throughout her life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those that surrounded her. Nada also expressed her love for dogs. She always said she would have three or four if she was able. Stretch, her little dachshund, was her most recent love that passed away a few years ago.

Nada was preceded in death by her parents, Cordie and Henry Tuggle, her loving husband Robert "Moe" Hogston, her infant daughter, Linda Joyce Hogston, her sisters: Ruby Warner and Eula DeBord, and her brothers: Merrell Tuggle, Garnett Tuggle and R.D. Tuggle.

She is survived by her sons: Steve (Pam) Hogston of Saltville, VA., and Gregory (Candace) Hogston of Glade Spring, VA., her grandsons: Jonathan (Lindsey) Hogston of Saltville, VA., and Chris (Grayson) Hogston of Chilhowie, VA., great-grandchildren: Oaklyn Hogston, Harlyn Hogston, Ayden Hogston, Tatum Hogston and Koen Hogston. In addition to her children and grandchildren, she is survived by her special niece, Darlene Moore, and special great-great-nephew, Xavier Jones. She is also survived by many other loving nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to friends Carol Puckett, Kathy Baker and Pastor Greg Carrico for all they have done for Nada. A special thanks is also extended to PACE, JMH Critical Care & Progressive Care Units, JMH ER staff, Glade Pharmacy, Richardson Ambulance Service, and Glade P.D.

Funeral services for Nada Alberta Hogston will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 9, 2025 at Henderson Funeral Home in Saltville, Va. with Pastor Greg Carrico officiating.  The family will receive friends from 12 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.  Pallbearers are Jonathan Hogston, Chris Hogston, Rick Moore, Ricky Moore, Chance Moore, and Lloyd Montgomery.

Now that Nada is at peace in the loving arms of Jesus, her Lord and Savior, we should remind ourselves that while this is the end of Nada's physical life on Earth, it's the beginning of an eternal and beautiful journey for her in Heaven.
