Nancy Mae Osborne Frye

Nancy Mae Osborne Frye, age 85, passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, TN. Nancy was a lifetime member of Little Valley Christian Church in Tannersville, VA where she also played the piano. Nancy had a long career as a Registered Nurse working at multiple different locations over the years. She was on the Board of Directors for Southwest Virginia Community Health Systems, a member of the Eastern Star Saltville Chapter, and a member of the Tannersville Volunteer Rescue Squad. She loved gardening and was also a member of the Four Seasons Garden Club. Nancy was an avid sports fan who loved attending games and always pulling for Tarheels Basketball. In her free time, she enjoyed painting and traveling. Most importantly one of her favorite things was spending time with all of her grandchildren and her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Millard and Jessie Patrick Osborne; her husband, Thomas H. Frye; two brothers, Bill and Kelly Osborne; two sisters, Linda Palmer, and infant sister, Alice Ruth Osborne.

She is survived by her three children, Sherry Evans and husband Kenny, Robin Meadows, and Jimmy Frye and wife Amy; one brother, Bobby Osborne and wife Sharon; sister-in-law, Sandy Osborne; eight grandchildren, Jessica, Lee, Kristen, Justen, Jaimen, Adam, Jacob, and Brittnie; fifteen great-grandchildren; special niece, Sandra Palmer; and several loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 22, 2023 at Little Valley Christian Church with Pastor Stan Dunham officiating. The burial will follow at the Osborne Family Cemetery in Tannersville, VA. The family will be receiving friends on Sunday evening, May 21, 2023 at Henderson Funeral Home from 5 until 7 p.m.
