Saltville, Va. Oliver A. Cardwell, age 78, passed away on Monday, October 4, 2021 at the Johnson City Medical Center. He was a loving father, grandfather, and brother and will greatly be missed. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Cardwell; and his parents, Laymar and Sallie Cardwell. Oliver is survived by his daughter, Barbara Jones and husband Randy; their children, Dylan, Josh, and Hayley; son, Derek Cardwell and his children, Stanton, Mason, and Olivia; his sister, Tan Mueller and her children, Les and Vicki Mueller (Josh and Brittany), Tammy and Dave Kelly (Allison and Matt), Gus and Sondra Mueller all of Brandywine, MD; aunts, Georgia Allison and Mildred Allison of Saltville, Va., Betty Allison of Bristol, Va.; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at the Allison Cemetery, 1805 Allison Gap Road, Saltville, Va. with Rev. Bobby Collins officiating.
