Oscar Thomas Frye Saltville, VA Oscar Thomas Frye, age 71, passed away on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Johnston Memorial Hospital. Throughout Oscars life he never met a stranger. He was a former bus driver for Smyth County Schools, he loved driving the bus and all the children. Oscar was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbert and Salona Frye; his wife, Cathy Holmes Frye; and a brother, Gilbert Frye. He is survived by his son; Eric Frye and wife Vicki; daughter, Amy Olinger and husband Utah; four grandchildren, Danielle Stamper, McKayla Olinger, Utah Olinger III, and Cooper Frye; also, several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at Elizabeth Cemetery in Saltville, Va. with Pastor Barry Loupe officiating.
