Abingdon, Va.

Patricia Kay Parson, age 68, entered into her eternal home on April 16, 2023 at Johnston Memorial Hospital. She was born in Abingdon, VA to the late Emery Reece Lewis and the late Thelma Leona Lewis. She, along with her family and friends, loved to play music and sing gospel songs. In addition to spending time with her grandchildren, this is what brightened her smile and brought joy to her heart. She was a very kind and loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mackie Lee Parson.

Patricia is survived by her son, Jessie Parson and wife Sabrina; four grandchildren, Ethan, Kyleigh, Jase, and Khloe Parson "her whole world"; three brothers, Garland "Buddy" Lewis and wife Pauline, Emery Lewis, Jr. and wife Shirley, Harold Lewis and wife Gail; four sisters, Sue Foglesong and special friend Tommy Worley, Lois Ramey and husband David, Loretta Fulmer and husband Gregg, Louise Horn and husband Donnie; also many loving nieces and nephews, and very special friends and neighbors, Kathy and Jack.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at the Highway of Holiness Church, 611 Hillman Highway, Glade Spring, VA with Pastor Tracy Puckett officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7:00 pm prior to the service. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at Forest Hills Memory Gardens in Abingdon, Va. Pallbearers will include, Emery Lewis, Jr., Donnie Horn, Barry Kestner, Daniel Doane, Ethan Parson, David Foglesong, and Roy Foglesong, Jr.
