Peggy Ann Eastridge, age 82, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2025, at Valley Nursing Health and Rehab in Chilhowie.  Peggy was born August 18, 1942, in Mt. Holly, NC to the late Carl and Pearl Gray Hayes.  Peggy's nursing career led her to   Smyth County Community Hospital where she worked for 20 years.  After her retirement, she had the "perfect job "caring for her granddaughter, Hannah.  She loved to take family vacations with her daughter, Tara and her granddaughter, Hannah.  She always treasured spending time with her family.  Peggy enjoyed reading and going to the library.  She was very energetic, strong willed, and independent.  She loved going to casinos and had visited several in many different states.

Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Eastridge, sons, Robert David Eastridge, and Daran Scott Eastridge; one brother, Roger Hayes.

Left to treasure her memory is her daughter, Tara Galliher and husband Randall, and a very special granddaughter, Hannah Galliher.

Graveside services for Peggy Ann Eastridge will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 3, 2025, at Mount Rose Cemetery in Glade Spring with Pastor Jeremy Dunn officiating.  Everyone is asked to please meet at the cemetery.
