Phillip Darrel Holmes, Sr., age 58, passed away on September 01, 2026, at his home.

Darrel was a man who found joy in life’s simple pleasures, whether casting a line out on the water, using his talent for woodworking, or feeling the wind on his face while riding his Harley. He loved exploring local spots, always seeking out new places to enjoy and share with those he loved. He will be dearly missed.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Delores Holmes; mother-in-law, Norma Shew; and his fur baby, Harley.

Darrel is survived by his wife, Deanna “DeeDee” Holmes; sons, Phillip Holmes, Jr. and wife, Katelin, and Andrew Holmes and fiancé, Carly; daughter, Kelsey Griffith and husband, Travis; father, Raymond Holmes, Jr.; sister, Sherry Saltz; grandchildren, Emberlin Holmes, Raiden Holmes, and Ashelin Holmes; father-in-law, Dan Shew; sisters-in-law, Ronda Caudill, Samantha Doane, and Betsy Hogston; brothers-in-law, Daniel Shew and Stephen Shew; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
