Ralph Eugene Dillow

Ralph Eugene Dillow, age 84, passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2023 in Amelia County Virginia. He was born on November 13, 1938 and was the last living sibling of nine. He is preceded in death by his parents, Claude W. Dillow and Ollie W. Dillow; five sisters; three brothers; one daughter, Margaret Ann Anderson; his first wife, and mother of his children, Dora Kathleen "Kat" Dillow; wife, Betty Sue Dillow; son-in-law, Howard Holloway; daughter-in-law, Faye Dillow; and special fur baby, Tipper.

He loved being outside and enjoyed farming. Ralph farmed for the Harvey family for many years as well. He spent several years on the road driving for Moss Trucking before he retired. Ralph loved hunting and fishing, but most of all playing his banjo. He enjoyed spending his free time with his grandchildren. Ralph was also a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Saltville.

Ralph is survived by his children, Claude Eugene "Gene" Dillow, Ralph W. Dillow "Pete", Brenda Joy Holloway, Michael Dale Dillow, Amy Sue Taylor (David); several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at Mount Pleasant Cemetery with Pastor Barry Loupe officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 11:30 until 1:3o prior to the procession to the cemetery. Adam Davidson, Jeremy Harris, Mason Davidson, Kim Dillow, Donnie Dillow, Gene Dillow, and Mikey Dillow will be serving as pallbearers.
