Saltville, Va.

Ralph Eldridge Edwards, age 88, passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2023. He was preceded in death by his wife, Daisy Mae Edwards; parents, Kemper Ralph Edwards and Ruby Brewster Edwards; sisters, Lorraine Hubble and husband Ernest Hubble and their son, Steve Hubble, Judy Baxley and husband Bud Baxley; nephew, Tommy Nelson; brothers-in-law, John Heiss and Steve Thatcher; and an infant brother.

Ralph served is the United States Army. He worked in a sawmill, helped on the farm, and retired from Virginia House Furniture where he worked as a molder. He helped raise his nieces and nephews. He loved gardening and hunting.

He is survived by his sisters, Velma Heiss (Blake), Sylvia Thatcher, and Martha Sharpe (Russell); special nieces and caregivers, June Ella Campbell, Rachel Tolbert, and Megan Campbell; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 18, 2023 at Ridgedale Cemetery in Rich Valley, Va. with Pastor Mike Klumpp officiating. Everyone is asked to gather at the cemetery.
