Richard Allen "Rick" Blevins, age 69, passed away on Friday, November 14, 2025 at Deer Meadows Rehab and Nursing in Abingdon, Va.  Rick was born on November 15, 1955 to the late Robert Freeman and Elizabeth Sexton.

Including his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 26 years, Elizabeth Frances Shelton Blevins; two brothers, Mike Blevins and Robert Freeman.

Rick was a graduate of Chilhowie High School.  He worked as a carpenter and farming.

Rick enjoyed the outdoors hunting and fishing.  He loved watching Nasar racing and the Miami Dolphins.  Most of all, he loved his family.

Those left to cherish is memory is his daughter, Emily "Nikki" Moore and husband Brant of New Iberia, LA; three sons, Matthew Trail of Saltville, Bobby Blevins and wife Pam and David Blevins; grandchildren, Rebecca Pierce, Lindsay Pierce, Dragan Trail, Sydney Tedder, Landon Moore, David Blevins, Jr., Grace Moore, and Killian Moore.

Funeral services for Richard Allen "Rick" Blevins will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at Henderson Funeral Home with Pastor Barry Loupe officiating.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.  Burial will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Saltville, Va.
