Robert Michael "Crutch" Lowery

Robert Michael "Crutch" Lowery, age 67, went to be with his heavenly father on Friday, September 13, 2024. He was born on March 13, 1957 in Saltville, Virginia. Mike was known for his quick-witted humor, generous spirit and loving heart. He was a humble man who would help anyone, never asking anything in return. He was a local musician who enjoyed spending time with his friends while singing and picking the guitar. His weekends were also spent pitching horseshoes, visiting family or simply just driving through the mountains. As Mike would say, he was always on an adventure.

He is preceded in death by his father, Robert "Bobby" Lowery; and sister, Deborah Sue Repass.

Left to cherish his memory is his only son, Shannon Michael Lowery and wife Amy; three grandchildren, Aidan Lowery, Noah Lowery and Aleah Lowery; wife, Bonnie Lowery; his mother, Minnie Sue Lowery; five siblings, Gene Lowery and wife Sherry, Tammy Kestner, Kathy Loupe and husband Barry, Julie Romans and husband Chris, and Bryan Lowery; brother-in-law, Ronald "Doodle" Repass; several nieces and nephews; and his dear friend Brenda Coleman.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at Henderson Funeral Home with Pastor Barry Loupe officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 12 until 2 p.m. prior to the service. The burial will be following at Mount Rose Cemetery in Glade Spring.
