Chilhowie, Va. Robert Matthew Davidson, age 54, passed away on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at Bristol Regional Hospital surrounded by his family. Mr. Davidson was born in Smyth County, Va. on July 31, 1967 to Roy Oliver, Sr. and Betty Ann Davidson. He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Ann Davidson; and uncle, Earl Donald (Don) Rupard. He was a dedicated worker to Scholle Packaging Corporation for 11 years. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his family and listening to music. He is survived by his father, Roy Davidson, Sr.; loving wife, Jennifer Davidson; daughters, Kristy Bentley and husband Josh, and Kassi Davidson; son, Alex Davidson and wife Jessica; sister and best friend, Elizabeth Davidson; brothers, Roy Davidson, Jr. and wife Renee, Chris Davidson and wife Cindy, Donald Davidson and wife Tammy. His grandbabies who he loved more than anything, Lucas, Rilynn, and Lexie Copeland, Eligh and Raylea Davidson, Taylor, Parker, Maisyn, Shilah and Lakelyn Bentley; his mother and father-in-law, Emory and Georgia Robinette; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 22, 2021 at the Ridgedale Cemetery with Rev. Otis Barker officiating. The family will receive friends at Henderson Funeral Home from 12 until 1:30 p.m. prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions in memory of Mr. Davidson or can be made to St. Jude's, Mr. Davidson's favorite charity.
