Saltville, Va.

Robert John Earp, age 70, after a long courageous fight of life-long heart problems, went to be with the Lord on June 11, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jutson and Enita Earp; brothers, James Earp, William Earp; and sister, Patricia Earp. Bob will be remembered for his love of family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also loved hunting, fishing, and taking his boat out on the lake.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Shirley Ann Earp; three children, Wendy Boyd (Kevin) of Saltville, Patricia Boland (Richard) of Kingsport, and Robert Earp II of Jonestown, PA; eight grandchildren, Taylor, Meena, Isaiah, Inessa, Shiloh, Josh, Brianna, Miloh; four great grandchildren, Liam, Malakai, Logan, and Levi; two brothers, Thomas Earp, Ft. Peirce, FL and David Earp, Wilmington, NC; many nieces and nephews, and close friends; TG Gillespie, Danny Heath, Sandy Heath and John Pierce.

He had many life experiences and adventures. He shared his stories and entertained all. Upon his death, Bob also wanted to help others. He donated organs, bone, and tissue to hopefully enrich others lives. He will be deeply missed.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Friday, June 16, 2023 at Henderson Funeral Home. The family will hold a celebration of life.
