Marion, Va. Robert Dean Olinger, age 72, passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, Va. He was born in Indianapolis, IN to the late William Fred and Carrie Evelyn Olinger. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Pamela Dawn Howard; and granddaughter, Tasha Gross. Robert was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in the Vietnam war. He is survived by his wife, Linda Olinger; daughter's, Kimberley Hahn (Zac), Michelle Olinger, and Angela Olinger; grandchildren, Nate and Emma Hahn who were extra special to him. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Henderson Funeral Home with Pastor Douglas Abel officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Military rites will be provided by the U. S. Army National Guard.
