Robert A. Thompson "Allen', our precious brother, on October 26, 2023 gained his angel wings and went to his forever heavenly home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Isaac and Gladys Cardwell Thompson; special cousin and friend, William Stumbo, and his special fur baby, "Jim Dandy".

Allen is survived by his sisters, Barbara M. Roe and Phyllis T. Barr; nieces, Kimberly Byrd, Pamela Lockler, and Amy Roe; friends, Richard Barbrow, Rick Allison, Jeff Henderson, Kevin Ellis, and Allen Cardwell. Allen was loved by so many friends and family.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 29, 2023 at Pine Ridge Cemetery in Saltville, Va. with Pastor Stacy Evans officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:30 p.m. prior to the service at Henderson Funeral Home.

You gave no one a last farewell, nor ever said good-bye.

You were gone before we knew it, and only God knows why.
