Robert Lee Tuell, Sr.

Robert Lee Tuell, Sr., age 84, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Smyth County Community Hospital. He was a United States Army Veteran of 25 years of service. Robert was married to the love of his life for 58 years, Janie Tuell. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, seven sisters, and one brother.

He is survived by his three sons, Bobby Tuell and wife Joyce, Calvin Tuell and wife Michele, and David Tuell and wife Tosha; one daughter, Becky Buchanan and husband Allen; step-daughter, Connie Alexander and husband Earl; seven grandchildren, Cody, Dylan, Ali, Chloe, Danica, Jason, and Jeff; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at St. James Lutheran Cemetery with Pastor Mike Halsey officiating. There will be military rites rendered by the United States Army and also V.F.W. #4667. Everyone attending the service is asked to please meet at the cemetery.
