Roger Clinton Collins, age 80, passed away at his home on Friday, June 16, 2023. He was born on November 22, 1942 to the late Lowe and Clara Collins. Roger was a member of Joy Baptist Church and retired from Mid Mountain Distribution Center as a truck driver. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; one sister; and his mother and father-in-law, Willie and Sydney Frye.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years of marriage, Norma Frye Collins; his children, Angela Umfleet and husband Gary, Eddie Collins and wife Beth of Fayetteville, NC, Kris Collins and wife Jenna of Abingdon, VA; grandchildren, Ethan, Caleb, Tyler, and Dana Collins, and Amanda Briggs; precious great-grandchildren, Riley, Zoe, Skylar, Ben and Deklan; sisters, Louise Cannon, Sandra Sullins, Esther Moore, and Betty Flock; siblings, Shirley Collins, and Billy Collins; brothers-in-law, Joel and Don Frye; special cousins, Rodney Collins; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.

The family would like to give a special thanks to all of the hospice workers for all of their love and care.

A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at Henderson Funeral Home in Saltville, Va. with Pastor Jay Overbay officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. prior to the service.
