Ronald Braxton "Pork" Taylor

Ronald Braxton "Pork" Taylor, a beloved brother and friend, passed away on Friday, September 20, at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, Virginia. He was a longtime resident of Saltville, Virginia, known for his easygoing personality and kind heart.

Ronald graduated from R.B. Worthy High School and joined the United States Army. He proudly served his country in Vietnam and was awarded a Purple Heart. After his military service, he worked for many years in maintenance at Roanoke Hospital. He loved to golf and enjoyed spending time with his friends at the Saltville Golf Course.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lillburn Taylor and Alzie Cooley Taylor; four brothers, Delmas Taylor, Samuel Taylor, David "Bean Eye" Taylor, and Harold Taylor; four sisters, Daphne Taylor Minton, Betty Jean Taylor Casey, Elwanda Taylor, and Shirley Brewster; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ronald is survived by his brother, George "Little Bud" Taylor, and two sisters, Angie Snead and Helen Taylor Walls. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Following his wishes there will be no services.
