Roxie Beulah Davenport Tannersville, VA Roxie Beulah Davenport, age 89, passed away at her home surrounded by her family on April 9, 2022. Roxie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She was a wonderful person with a heart of gold. She loved her Lord and enjoyed listening to gospel music. Roxie loved and cherished time with all of her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Mary Jackson; her husband of 50 years, Buck Lee Davenport; five brothers, Dale, Glen, Herbert, Thomas, and Ervin Jackson; three sisters, Stella Jackson, Sylvia Woodward, and Edna Chapman. She is survived by her son Cecil R. Davenport and wife Katie of Tannersville, VA; her grandchildren, Josh, Nicole and Gavin Looney; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 11, 2022, at the Osborne Family Cemetery with Pastor James Sparks officiating. Everyone is asked to please meet at the cemetery. Danny Lamie, Daryl Jackson, Philip Holmes, James Sparks, and Brad Carter will be serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer, Josh Looney.
