Ruth Robbins Wallin

Tannersville, VA

Ruth, age 94, was reunited with her heavenly family on October 17th, 2026. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. Ruth was born Mar 4th, 1932 in Rich Valley, VA.

She is the youngest of three children born to Loranzy “Ranzy” and Cora Robbins.

Music was one of her greatest enjoyments. Some of her earliest and fondest memories were of singing with her mother and sisters while her father played the fiddle or banjo. Throughout her life, she played the fiddle, organ, and piano by ear. She also loved going to church and singing along with the congregation every Sunday. Ruth was known to be a very hard worker and was happiest when she was outside working in her garden or tending to the family farm. She remained active most of her life, famously chopping her own wood well into her golden years. Most of all, she loved to sit on her porch, enjoying nature and visiting with family and friends, watching her family grow over the years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Talmadge Wallin, parents Ranzy and Cora Robbins, sisters Cordelia Lamie and Ethel Smith. 

Ruth is survived by her four children: Tamara Bellinger and husband Bob Bellinger, Maureen Wallin and husband Scott Damon, Frayne Wallin, and Brennan Wallin; five grandchildren: Caitlin Bellinger, Jake Bellinger and wife Amberanna, Molly Mosch and husband Lehigh; Wyeth Wallin-Damon and Tayara Wallin-Damon; three great-grandchildren: Autumn and Damon Bellinger, and Creedence Mosch; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other loving family members and friends, including her Little Valley Christian Church family.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, October 20th from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Little Valley Christian Church, 131 Little Valley Rd, Tannersville, VA 24377. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Gary Lamie officiating. Graveside services will follow up the road at Keister Cemetery.
