Sadie Virginia Trent, age 90, passed away on March 7, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents Victor "Vic" and Cladie D. Prater; seven brothers; and five sisters.

She is survived by her companion and care giver, Harold Trent; four sons, Jerry Johnson and wife Leslie of Glade Spring, Earl Johnson and wife Katherine of Honaker, VA, Bobby Johnson and wife Teresa of Glade Spring, VA, and Jr. Trent and wife Suzie of Chilhowie, VA; two daughters, Jane Cook of Glade Spring, VA, and Ruth Ann Sykes and husband Doug of Damascus, VA; one sister, Elizabeth Sheppard of Abingdon, VA; twelve grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 10, 2023, at the Glade Baptist Cemetery with Pastor Dale Hunter officiating. Everyone is asked to please meet at the cemetery.
