Saltville, VA Sally "Peachy" Rhea, age 85, departed this life on Monday, March 29, 2021, at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was born on March 22, 1936, the daughter of Milton and Dolly Frye. Sally was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy S. Rhea, Sr.; three brothers, Franklin Frye, Clyde Frye, Joe Frye; five sisters, Alice Moore, Linda DeBord, Violet Mink, Betty Gieseck and Carol Heath; two sons-in-law, John Burgess, Sr. and Jim Jenkins. Survivors include daughters, Judy Jenkins of Chilhowie, Va., Patty Burgess of Saltville, Va., Lesa Frye and husband Charles of Broadford, Va.; son Tommy "Jock" Rhea, Jr. of Saltville, Va.; grandchildren, Christy Huff, Regina Counts, John Burgess, Jr., and Summer Frye; great-grandchildren, Austin Huff, Madison Counts and Tucker Burgess; sisters, Glenna Wynegar, Eva Dooley, Janie Kestner, Mary Compton; brother, Clarence Frye. The family would like to give special thanks to all of her caregivers. A graveside service will be conducted by Jerry Frye and Terry Frye at Mount Rose Cemetery at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 1, 2021. Everyone is asked to please meet at the cemetery and follow the Covid-19 guidelines.
