Sandra Kaye Kell

Sandra Kaye Kell, age 73, went to be with the Lord on January 17, 2026. She was born on August 27, 1952, to the late Edd and Bessie Kell and was a lifelong resident of Saltville. She graduated from Rich Valley High School in 1971. She worked at Cargo and Dollar General in Saltville. She also sold Avon for over 40 years. She attended Riverview Presbyterian Church in North Holston and loved cooking for her family after church every Sunday. She enjoyed family gatherings for holidays and birthdays, sitting on her front porch swing, playing bingo, yard sales, watching game shows, soap operas, and the Golden Girls. She loved to laugh.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Judith Kell Sebastian.

Survivors include her brother, Tony "Boonie" Kell, Sr. and sister, Barbara Kell Osborne (Sam). Her siblings took such great care of her during her illness. Her nieces and nephews; Melissa Kell, Samantha Rutledge, Tony Kell, Jr. (Kortney), and Bill Rutledge (Mollie). Her great nieces and nephews; Maddie Kell, Mia Clear, Finley Powers, Connor Johnson, Colt Powers, Brooks Rutledge, and TJ Rutledge. She had many special cousins and friends that she thought the world of.

Her family would like to thank the staff at Valley Nursing Home for all you have done for her. We are grateful for all of you.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at Henderson Funeral Home with Pastor Kathy Hutton officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 6 until 7 p.m. prior to the service. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Mount Rose Cemetery.
