Sarah Elaine Owens

Sarah Elaine Owens, age 65, passed away on March 1, 2024, at Johnston Memorial Hospital. She is reunited in Heaven with her father and mother, Don and Jeraldine Morgan, and other family members and friends who had gone on before her. Sarah was a friend of everyone. She especially loved children and worked as a Teacher Aid at Oak Point Elementary School. Sarah was a member of Chilhowie Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was dearly loved by her own children, grandchildren, her two special nieces Hillary Luchini (Raymond) and Rachel DeBord (Levi) who looked at her as a grandmother figure, especially after the loss of Jeraldine. She also loved her great-nephew, Eden and cousin Eva who she saw as her very own. Her friendly smile, caring heart, and loving kindness will be sorely missed by all who knew her. Everyone is thankful for the assurance that this separation is only temporary.

Sarah is survived by her husband Billy Owens; two daughters, Donna King (Ryan) and Savannah Greer; grandchildren, Todd, Paige, Arianna, Lily, Sierra, and Dillon; her sister, Lisa Collins and husband Joe; her uncles, Earnest, Chod, and Johnny Helton; aunt, Patsy Helton; special friend, Tina Barnhart; and several special nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 4, 2024, at Henderson Funeral Home with Pastor Walley Chestnut and Pastor Mike Sage officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 1 until 2 p.m. prior to the service. The burial will follow at Elizabeth Cemetery in Saltville.
