Selene Kestner Cox, age 61, of Saltville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Big Stone Gap, Virginia. Born on June 21, 1963, in Saltville, Virginia, she was the cherished daughter of the late Roscoe and Ramona Kestner.

Selene was a loving and caring soul whose life was defined by compassion and service to others. As a dedicated Registered Nurse, she touched countless lives with her gentle heart and healing hands. She had a natural talent for many things and brought skill and grace to whatever she pursued. A gifted trumpet player and an outdoors enthusiast, Selene enjoyed sunshine-filled days and trips to the beach. She also had a deep affection for her pet cats. Above all, Selene loved the Lord. Her faith was the foundation of her life, and she often spoke of the joy she found in her salvation. Her kindness, strength, and warm spirit will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her nephew, Seth Kestner.

Those left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Ethan Cox and Evan Cox; her brother, David Kestner and wife Melanie; sister, Valerie Campbell; nieces and nephews, Roscoe Kestner, III, Paden Roberts and wife Lacie, and Taylor Cooley and husband Nathan; and one great-niece, Maeven Roberts.

Services will be private.
