Saltville, Va. Shirley B. Haynes "Squeak", age 86, of Saltville, Virginia went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kedrick B. and Leona Smith Brinkley; her first husband, Harry Ernest Johnson, Sr.; one son, Harry Ernest (Ernie) Johnson, Jr.; husband, Malcolm T. Haynes I; sister, Betty B. Totten; and brother, Robert K. (Bob) Brinkley. She is survived by sons, Kedrick Johnson (Rhonda), Joe Johnson (Jennifer), Mark Haynes (Mitzi); daughters, Lea Anna Haynes, Kelly Jones (Jim), Lee Anna Johnson (Brandon); special daughter-in-law, Tamela Hahn; nineteen grandchildren, and seventeen great-grandchildren. Shirley, a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, was a member of First Christian Church. She was known for her love and hospitality to her many friends and family members who often enjoyed a meal at her table. She welcomed everyone. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at Henderson Funeral Home with Pastor Ked Johnson and Pastor Stan Dunham officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Graveside services will follow at Mount Rose Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons. The family expresses their appreciation to caregivers, Pam Mills and Rosa Roark, as well as Caris Hospice Group for their care and attention during Shirley's Illness.
