Saltville, VA Thelma Swartz, age 98, passed away at Maple Grove Care Center in Lebanon, Va. on Sunday, May 9. Thelma was a lifelong member of the First Church of God in Allison Gap. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Ada Swartz; sisters, Cleo Ennis, Dora Lawrence, Nita Swartz, and Lois Minton; brothers, Charles Swartz, Frank Swartz, Earl Swartz, and David Swartz. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 14, 2021 at the First Church of God in Allison Gap with Rev. David Mumpower and Rev. Jeremy Dunn officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Rose Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at the Church prior to the service.
