Thomas "Tom" Dewey Tuggle, age 80, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, July 2, 2025.

He was born November 16, 1944 to the late Dewey and Inis Woods Tuggle.  Including his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia McVey Tuggle; daughter, Lisa Tuggle; stepson, Roy Lee Norris; grandson, Camron Frye and many siblings.

Tom enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, raising his garden every year, and walking 2 miles every day which he had done for the past 20 years.  He was a devoted family man and loved his grandchildren.

Those left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Willie Mae Frye and husband William; sons, Michael McVey, and Brandon Childress; sisters, Katherine Helton, and Mary Johnson; grandchildren, Leslie Frye, Dallas Frye, Danielle Tuggle, Desiree Tuggle, Destiny Tuggle, and Justin Sykes.

Funeral services for Thomas Dewey Tuggle will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 7, 2025 at Henderson Funeral Home in Saltville, Va. with Pastor Daniel Garrett officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.  Burial will follow at Elizabeth Cemetery in Saltville, Va.
