Verlin McKee Allison, age 89, passed away at his home Thursday, December 1, 2022. He has gone to be with his Lord Jesus Christ. He was a U.S. Navy veteran with the Sea Bee's and also served in the U.S. Army Reserves. Verlin loved watching football and NASCAR racing. He had three special friends he enjoyed talking to on the phone, Curtis Hogston, Allen Cardwell and Randall Smith, and special nephew Don Hill. He was a loving daddy, papaw and great grandpaw. Verlin was preceded in death by his parents Samuel Allison and Willie Greer Allison, and his wife Wilma Jean Neal Allison.

He is survived by two daughters, Teresa A. Rexroad and husband Greg of Abingdon, and Lisa Hartsock and husband Danny of Saltville; two grandsons, Kevin Allison and wife Sharon of Tallahassee, FL, and Adam Henderson and wife BoChasity of Chilhowie; two great grandchildren whom he loved with all his heart, Lillian Grace Henderson and Dalton McKee Allison; to special brothers-in-laws, Bobby Neal of Abingdon and David Neal of Nashville, TN; special sister-in-law Anna Tolbert and husband Millard of GA.

By his request, there will be private services at Mount Rose Cemetery in Glade Spring, VA
