Wanda "Lanie" Elaine Coe

Wanda "Lanie" Elaine Coe, age 65, passed away on Monday, February 20, 2023 at Johnston Memorial Hospital. She retired from Bristol Regional Medical Center as a Registered Nurse. Lanie loved to sing, especially at church and to her patients at work. She was a member of the First Church of God in Abingdon, VA. Lanie was preceded in death by her parents, James and Doris C. Coe.

She is survived by her "youngest sister", Maria Olinger of Chilhowie, VA; one brother, Blake Coe and wife Holly of Spotsylvania, VA; four nieces and nephews, Angie Wilson and husband Dickie of Abingdon, VA, Carrie Ann Olinger of Chilhowie, VA, Joshua Coe of Fort Walton, FL, and Jacob Coe and fiancé Rebecca of Richmond, VA; four great- nieces and nephews, Santana Walker and husband Tannon of Hampton, VA. and their children, Macie and Asher; Emma Wilson of Abingdon, VA, Mason Battaglia of Mooresville, NC, and Rylan Eskridge of Chilhowie, VA; and special friends, Bonnie Messerschmidt, and Kim Felty.

Flowers are appreciated but memorials donations may also be made to the Newman Restoration Fund; checks may be made to the Abingdon First Church of God, earmarked Newman Restoration Fund/ E. Coe Memorial.

A celebration of life service will take place at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 24, 2023 at the Abingdon First Church of God with Pastor Bob Neace officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 10 until 11 a.m. prior to the service
