Warren Eugene Elliott

Warren Eugene Elliott, 96, of Saltville, passed away on Monday, November 14, 2022. He was preceded by his parents, George Harman and Annie Elliott; three sisters, Louise Elliott, Ruth Beard, and Eleanor Mabes; and two brothers, Robert and George.

Warren was born and grew up in Roanoke. He volunteered for the Navy in 1944 and served several years. He received his Bachelor of Commercial Science Degree from National Business College in 1950. He completed the Management Development Program from The University of Kansas School of Business in 1969. Warren worked for Lee Telephone/Centel in Martinsville, VA, Hickory, NC, and Charlottesville, VA and retired in 1993. He attended Madam Russell Methodist Church and was an active member of The Lions Club. Golf was his passion, and he spent a lot of his free time on the golf course.

Surviving is his wife of 67 years, Billie Maiden Elliott; and two sons, Warren Jr. and David. He was a loving husband and father and was always considerate of others' feelings.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at Madam Russell United Methodist Church in Saltville, Va. with Pastor Lisa Bryant officiating. Burial will follow at Elizabeth Cemetery in Saltville, Va. The family will receive friends from 5 until 6:00 pm on Friday, November 18, 2022, at Madam Russell United Methodist Church.
