Abingdon, VA. Rev. William Eugene Cahill, Sr., age 74. Heaven received another Angel, Saturday, July 24, 2021. Bill was a servant of the Lord, and a retired minister of the United Methodist Church, and a former member of the Saltville Lions Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Albert J. and Katherine B. Cahill; sisters, Betty and Elmer McNew and Mary and Earnest "Lefty" Arnold. Bill is survived by his loving family, his wife of nearly 53 years, Sharon E. Cahill; sons, William E. "Gene" Cahill, Jr. and wife Maria, and Charles Wesley Cahill and wife Cara; the joys of his life, his 8 grandchildren, Elise, James, Olivia, Ansley, Jack, William Eugene III, Sophia and Maggie; brother, James Cahill; sisters, JoAnn Cahill and Dee Dee Boyd and husband Bo; sister-in-law, Robin Brickey and husband Preston; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday July 30, 2021 at the Madam Russell United Methodist Church in Saltville, VA.
