William McKinley Dowell, age 62, passed away Friday, November 11, 2022 in Culpepper, VA. William was a 1978 graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School. He was a welder by trade, and enjoyed his family, hunting, fishing, and was a Civil War history buff. He was preceded in death by his father, Douglas Dowell.

William is survived by his mother, Bertie Dowell; daughter, Megan Michelle Mosley; sisters, Sandra Burton and Wanda Smith; brother, Greg Dowell; three grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service to celebrate his life will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 14, 2022 at Mount Rose Cemetery in Glade Spring, VA.

He will be loved and never forgotten by his mother, family and friends.
