William Stumbo, age 65, passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at Bland Nursing and Rehab in Bastian, Va. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Bessie Thompson Stumbo; brother, Irvin Stumbo; and sister, Corrine Vandyke.

William is survived by his brothers, Ricky Stumbo from Saltville, Va., and Frank Stumbo from Grundy, Va.; his sisters, Janice Hayton of Saltville, Va., Peggy Smith of Marion, Va., and Lorretta Boyd of Saltville, Va.; special friends, Beth Griffith, and Jeff Henderson; several nieces and nephews; and his special fur baby, "Minnie".

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at Henderson Funeral Home in Saltville, Va. with Pastor Mel Penland and Pastor Gary Evans officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7:00 p.m. prior to the service. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 9, 2023 at Pine Ridge Cemetery in Saltville, Va. Pallbearers will be Robert Campbell, Marion Thomas, Jaiden Thomas, James Sword, Dylan Henderson, Jeff Henderson, honorary pallbearers, Ryan Stumbo, Rodney Stumbo, and Robert Thompson.
